Partner Spotlight: Rocky Mountain Research Station

April 2, 2021
The Rocky Mountain Research Station (RMRS) works at the forefront of science to improve the health and use of our Nation’s forests and grasslands. RMRS provides important scientific support to the Northern Colorado Fireshed Collaborative.
Sarah McCaffrey, a Research Social Scientist with RMRS, works closely with the communications committee to create messaging that can help build connections and understanding of fire. She also helps to develop narratives for videos and assists with community interests.
Chuck Rhoades, a Research Biogeochemist with RMRS, contributes to a citizen science project that investigates the impacts of fire on water quality in the Poudre River watershed. Chuck is intimately familiar with the watersheds in Northern Colorado and has been supporting restoration efforts in the area for decades.
RMRS serves the Forest Service as well as other federal and state agencies, international organizations, Tribes, academia, non-profit groups and the public.
