Boulder County Wildfire Partners Wins National Award
It was announced last week that Boulder County’s Wildfire Partners program was a winner of a prestigious national award. The Wildfire Mitigation Awards are the highest national honor available for outstanding work and significant program impact in wildfire preparedness and mitigation. The award was established in 2014 by the National Association of State Foresters, the International Association of Fire Chiefs, the National Fire Protection Association, and the USDA Forest Service in response to all the great wildfire mitigation program efforts happening across the United States. https://www.stateforesters.org/newsroom/nations-leading-wildfire-management-groups-name-2024-wildfire-mitigation-awardees/
Congratulations to Boulder County, Jim Webster and the Wildfire Partner’s team!!
The Boulder County Fireshed truly appreciates all that Wildfire Partners has done and is doing and we are grateful to have you as our own. And thank you to our State Forester, Fire Chiefs and Forest Service BoCo Fireshed friends for recognizing Wildfire Partners.
The 2024 Wildfire Mitigation Awards will be formally presented at the Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) Conference in Reno, Nevada, on March 27, and I understand an all expense paid trip to the conference for Boulder County representatives to accept the award is provided.
