Fire Lives Here Film Screenings

February 24, 2026

Across Colorado’s Front Range, community members are gathering for screenings of Fire Lives Here—a powerful new film that explores the relationship between people, forest, and fire. Fire is a natural and important force here in Colorado, and this film invites viewers to better understand how we live with it rather than simply react to it.

Filmed over two years across Colorado’s Front Range, Fire Lives Here showcases the year-round efforts of partnerships like ours working together to change wildfire outcomes. The film highlights how experts and community partners collaborate to plan and carry out forest treatments—and how those efforts influence the way wildfires behave on the landscape. By focusing on proactive, science-based solutions, the film demonstrates what it takes to build resilience before the next fire starts.

As part of the Northern Colorado Fireshed Collaborative, we are proud to work alongside organizations across the state to create healthier forests and safer communities. These screenings are more than a viewing experience—they are an opportunity to learn, connect, and be part of a shared solution.

Below, you’ll find upcoming and past screenings of Fire Lives Here. Together, we can create more resilient forests and continue to enjoy what we love most about Colorado.
