Partner Spotlight: Boulder Watershed Collective

July 16, 2021
The Boulder Watershed Collective (BWC) is a stakeholder-driven organization established to address watershed health, resiliency, and stewardship. BWC’s mission is to protect and restore the health and function of the Boulder Creek Watershed, and support watershed-related collaboration statewide.
As the urban areas grow and meet the mountain wilderness, BWC believes it is crucial that we protect the resources present, both natural and human-made. BWC’s vision is to be a stewardship-driven watershed organization that cultivates environmental leadership while creating community resiliency and vitality.
The BWC has been a critical partner in the Northern Colorado Fireshed Collaborative as the boundaries of the Fireshed have extended into Boulder County and beyond. BWC staff are actively involved with the Fireshed’s Community Engagement and Outreach Committee, working to build public support and social license for forest treatments within communities.
