Cutting Resumes on Cub Creek Timber Stand Improvement

June 28, 2022

Crews will resume work near the Cub Creek Trailhead southwest of Evergreen on the Clear Creek Ranger District of the Arapaho National Forest as soon as today. Cut trees will be piled in the area and allowed to cure before burning during winter months.

The goal of this project is to thin out young conifers, predominately lodgepole pine, to reduce fuels and promote a healthier stand of trees in this area. The two project locations are approximately 3 to 4 acres in size.
